Had to post on leap year day - Happy February 29th....til 2016.

Almost a year has passed since the last entry, and I have taken on a new job. Sure, it's simple adminsitration, I feel proud to contribute to my new office, having not worked in 12 plus years, and am confident I haven't destroyed their database.

I also have realized that although I haven't worked in an office, I have added more job descriptions and responsibilities to my other non-paying job..... wardrobe enforcer. It's funny, my kids have very good taste and I would describe as modest compared to most, but every once in a while, I have one of those 'are you kidding me?" conversations with one of them and they are truly mystified with my dismay at clothing choice.

I'll try to be more dutiful in blogging, but hate to write about nonsense and trivial things (not that this isn't both!) and find a focus....but I just needed to kind of shout out to whoever is listening.....what the heck!!!!

Ok, I'm not a big fan of cats, but.....

I overheard my mom talking to a neighbor about her cat (who tortures me by the way). The neighbor told my mom that her cat was taken into the home of another neighbor, who felt that the cat was 'dirty' and it needed a bath, so she gave it one without the prior knowledge (or consent, mind you) of the cat's owner....can you imagine? I can.

Funny thing is that the cat is loved by its owner and well cared for and kept. Crazy is as crazy does.

Queen for a day

What a day! On my morning stroll we were greeted by a special needs man with a friendly "hello!". Upon further inspection, he asked what kind of dog I was, and was I "a cocker spaniel?" (pahleez!). My mom quickly replied that I was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. To which he said 'oh, royalty.....that must make you a princess' which she liked very much.

It's a beautiful spring day, rain to come this weekend and all next week. I'll maintain my reign indoors from the comfort of my throne.

It's been a realy rough winter.....so much snow, and ice dams that damaged the roof/floors....more work, more people in my house disrupting my happy little cavalicious life.

I also notice my family is growing up.....gearing up for bigger things, they are maturing (physically and mentally). I love watching them. I am so proud of them. They are all very good students, athletes, and people....they make my mom so proud!

Soon, there will be a lot of changes, I am looking forward to it. My oldest kid (nearly 14) is prompting my mom to get a 'cooler' car so in a few years she has a 'sweet' ride. It's all good. My mom is hoping to get a 'job'....although it's virtual, I know she can do it.

I am spoiled rotten and love it, and everyone loves me - what could be better than that?

It has been a rough winter....lots of snow - record breaking amounts I'm told. More rain and snow is due this weekend.

Happy New Year

It's a new year - here's to a happy 2011. Construction is finally done, I have my back yard back and am very comfortable in front of my new fireplace. We've had a little snow the day after Christmas which was very nice, but I'm glad most of it's gone, it's hard for me to hop around through it all.
